Utilizes a 90° geometry for precise beam turning and alignment. These mirrors are easier to mount and align than standard flat mirrors in complex systems.
Right-angle prism mirrors are typically used to bend light paths or deviate images formed by optical systems by 90°. Depending on the orientation of the prism, the resulting image can either be vertically inverted while horizontally correct, or horizontally inverted while vertically correct. Right-angle prisms can also be utilized for applications such as image combination and beam displacement.
Right-Angle Prisms: Efficiently utilizing internal total reflection based on critical angle properties to reflect incident light is one of the fundamental functions of right-angle prisms.
